Hey, Hi, and Hello

Let's start with the formalities. My name is Cyndi. I am as of yesterday May 7,2013 thirty one years old. That has a lot to do with starting this blog. I am a stay at home mom to a handsome little 4 year old named Davis.  My husband's name is Jared (Jay) we were married March 4, 2011. I know what you're thinking a four year old and 2 years of marriage, "Jezebel". We've been together for 11 years if that makes it any better. We also have two dogs named Boudreaux and Savannah. Did the name Boudreaux tip you off as to what state I am writing from? If not, it's Louisiana.

Let's start at the beginning of how are family got together. I was attending a small college in Southern Louisiana where I was the only person from my high school that went. Basically I was a lone wolf, but I had luckily made a friend who attended the same school over the summer. She worked in one of the male dorms, and I would hang out there. Think you know where this is going? This is not one of those our eyes met from across the room stories. After a full school year I had the hots for my husband's high school friend, and made friends with my husband to show his friend that "I was cool with his friends".  After a little while of talking to Jay I realized he was actually a really great guy, and shifted my focus to him. Summer came and we parted ways. We didn't exchange numbers are anything like that. I thought about him sometimes throughout the summer, and when fall semester started back up as fate would have it we had a class together, and it went from there.

Fast forward 6yrs later we bought a house, and started our lives together. I should say he actually graduated college while I did not. I was never interested in college, but I went because it was the expected next step. So, when he was offered his first sous chef job at a Casino I moved with him. I worked in retail. I have bounced around from job to job, and have been pretty restless with what I want to do.

Move ahead 2 years after that, and we welcomed a son Davis. He was born February 23, 2009. He was due April 24th. He was born 2 months early, weighing in at 2.9 oz. Long story short I developed pre-eclampsiya that turned into HELLP syndrome, and got really sick. I was already in the hospital for the pre-eclampsiya, and had to have an emergency c-section. By the grace of God everybody was fine and is fine. I will go into my labor story further another day.

Now in present day I am a stay at home mom 5 days a week 24/7 by myself. Jay took another job a couple of hours away, and we stayed behind to sell the house. This has been the plan since July of last year when my Jay took the job. Almost a year of this, and it is hard on all of us. He gets to come home on his days off which anybody married to a chef knows it's like living with a ghost until his or her days off anyways.

Well let's end it there today. I feel like I just spit a lot out at ya that probably doesn't even make sense, but we will have plenty of time to get to know each other.

Enjoy the rest of your day. Talk to you tomorrow.
